Google Cloud rounds up new AI infrastructure and orchestration updates

Google Cloud's weekly update is broad, but the AI infrastructure signals are worth separating out. Compute Flex committed-use discounts for G2 and G4 GPU VMs, Rapid Bucket improvements through GCSFS, and agentic platform resources all point at the same theme: AI scaling pressure is moving into cost controls, data movement, and orchestration.

For CDN Guru readers, the storage and accelerator utilization angle matters because model performance is increasingly gated by the surrounding delivery path. Faster GPUs do not help much if training and checkpoint pipelines starve them of data.
