Fastly and Experian position the edge as an AI agent trust point
Fastly's Experian partnership is another sign that bot management is becoming agent management. The distinction matters: some automated traffic should still be blocked, but some AI agents may be acting with real user authority and need fast verification instead of a blunt challenge.
Putting that decision at the edge is the practical part. If trust checks require every request to round-trip to origin, agentic commerce becomes slower and more expensive. If the edge can verify identity, authority, and policy in milliseconds, the same security layer can become a new routing and revenue surface.
